Yoga is a beautiful form of exercise. It’s fabulous for both your physical and mental health. The poses and sequences are a low impact way to increase strength, flexibility and stability – all of the things that you need to keep your body fit, healthy and injury-free.
The only time I was ever pain-free in my life was when I was practising yoga at a studio four days a week. I eventually stopped going to the studio because I starting doing other sports that consumed my time. Over time, I gradually felt my old pains come back because I wasn’t doing anything for flexibility and mobility. That’s when I realised how beneficial yoga is for a well-rounded workout routine. Even doing a short yoga class once a week, you will see huge benefits.
Unfortunately, yoga can be inaccessible to a lot of people who could benefit from it greatly. Some locations don’t have yoga teachers or the studios are too far away. Yoga classes can be very expensive too. A single class can cost $30, which is insane if you’re on any kind of budget. I think they make single classes excessively expensive to encourage people to buy memberships, which forces a certain level of commitment to the studio. Memberships also cost hundreds of dollars, which doesn’t really soften the blow, even though you are paying less for each class. The really forward-thinking studios will offer community classes at a reduced price, or exchange yoga classes for working hours in the studio, but this is rare.

If you’re on a budget or don’t have access to a yoga teacher, there is a solution. And it’s free! Enter the internet. I believe that some form of yoga should be accessible to everyone so, I’m going to share the top yoga YouTube channels that offer free online yoga classes. You can mix and match these to start your own yoga practice at home for zero dinero! Thank you internet.
Boho Beautiful
Boho Beautiful is my top choice for free yoga YouTube videos. I love the short videos that usually run for 10 to 30 minutes. Juliana is the best at creating an effective and comprehensive routine in a very short amount of time. The thing that makes these videos unique is that the creators of the channel shoot the videos in exotic locations. The gorgeous scenery and quality cinematography are inspiring. A beautiful tropical beach makes doing a challenging yoga sequence a little more pleasant too 😉
You won’t get bored with over 100 yoga workouts to choose from. The routines do tend to be on the more challenging side, so they can seem harder than other videos, but stick with it and you will see your fitness improve. If you’re new to yoga, definitely start with the videos labelled “beginner,” “gentle,” and “easy.” The intermediate and advanced classes are definitely a level up.
There are also lots of other videos on this channel about travel, sustainability and veganism to keep you entertained if you’re interested in that too.
Yoga with Adriene
Adriene is one of YouTube’s OG yoga instructors. She has a massive library of hundreds of videos for you to choose from. Most of the classes are between 10 and 30 minutes long, which I think is perfect for an at-home yoga practice. She also has some “full-length” yoga classes that are 40 to 60 minutes long for those who want a more in-depth class.
Adrienne is a gentle and encouraging yoga teach, so she’s great for beginners just getting into yoga, or those who are looking for a positive and relaxing experience.
Faith Hunter
Faith is a legendary yoga teacher based in DC and New York. You would pretty lucky to attend one of her classes in person, and thanks to her YouTube channel, you (sort of) can. She doesn’t add new yoga videos often, but her collection is very high quality and worth checking out.
Yoga By Candace
Candance is a fantastic yoga teacher with hundreds of videos for every level of practice. Besides the variety, the thing I love most about Candace is her soothing voice. It’s like ASMR and yoga rolled into one, which is the ultimate relaxation dream. If you want yoga that will help you de-stress and feel deeply relaxed, check out Candace’s channel.
Yoga With Kassandra
Kassandra’s awesome yoga channel is very active. She frequently posts new yoga classes, so there is a lot of variety to choose from. What I really like about Kassandra’s channel is that she posts videos addressing common body concerns, like back pain, tight hips, core strength, etc… I have very tight hips, so I’m always on the lookout for yoga videos that focus on this area. Kassandra won me over when I saw that she has over 60 videos that focus on releasing tight hips alone! She is also one of the rare channels that offer super long 90 minute classes. At the other end of the spectrum, she also offers 5-minute micro classes if you’re ultra-tight for time. Kassandra has one of the most active and comprehensive channels on YouTube and is definitely worth a look.
That’s my list of the best free yoga YouTube channels. You could mix and match endless combinations of yoga workouts and routines with these videos and never pay for another yoga class again. Yoga for everyone!
