I love a good full-body workout, but abs are probably the thing I look forward to the least. Frankly, I find ab workouts intolerable at best. I realise not everyone hates them. Some people love the feeling of sculpting their six-pack with a million crunches. Maybe the rippling abs they get to show off is enough of a reward to motivate them to do these awful ab workouts. It’s not enough motivation for me. You couldn’t pay me.

All of that complaining aside, I don’t want to deter you from doing ab workouts. Abs are a key part of developing core strength and core strength is really important for your entire body’s posture and alignment. So I reluctantly submit that abdominals should be a part of any well-rounded fitness routine.
That doesn’t change the fact that I want my ab workout to be over as quickly as possible. That’s why I created this short and sharp 2-minute ab workout. Just a caveat: by “2-minutes” I do not mean easy or enjoyable. I just mean it will be over fast. It’s going to hurt and it’s going to burn. Personally, if I have to do abs, I would rather endure more pain for less time than a low-intensity ab workout that takes longer. If you’re into what I’m laying down, let’s get into it!
The 2-Minute Ab Workout
To complete the 2-Minute Ab Workout, grab your phone and set the timer for 20 seconds. You will need to perform each of these ab exercises for 20 seconds with no rest in between. These exercises will target all sides of your abdominals for a complete workout. The burn will be intense, but push through and you’ll be done in a blink!
Well, that was hard. You’ll thank me later when you’ve got a 6 pack. Aim to do this workout at least twice a week, ideally three times a week, to see results. You could also do it every day for a month to see lightning-fast 6 pack results.
I like to tack this quick ab workout on to the end of my regular workouts so I barely notice it. What ab workouts do you do to keep your abs toned?
